SOCIAL PRESCRIBING IN FINGERPOST
ARE YOU IN NEED OF A BOOST?
Quality of life is key for every individual, that is why it’s important to us at UDevelop to really make an impact on a persons life so that they can continue to have an excellent balance mentally and a good quality of life moving forward!!!!
Social prescribing is a way for local agencies to refer people to link workers. Link workers give people time, focusing on ‘what matters to me’ and taking a holistic approach to people’s health and wellbeing. They connect people to community groups and statutory services for practical and emotional support. This is why we are running these holistic programmes to tailor the needs of every individual and take them on the best journey!!
This group of ladies from Fingerpost in St Helens were in need of a boost. We designed a 5 week programme for them to enhance their confidence and feel empowered about their overall health and well-being. We also got the learners each week work towards an Royal Society of Public Health level 2 Understanding Health Improvement qualification.
These women were taken on a journey where they could create vision boards to empower them to strive for the future, create podcasts that included great health resource and made new friends that they can then work alongside with or meet up in future courses.
